Axolotls Modded Rivals Weapon & Loadout Tier List

S-tier primaries, secondaries, and melee for official RIVALS and unlocked Modded Rivals practice lobbies.

Tier List Hub

This Tier List Hub summarizes the October 2026 meta for Nosniy Games’ RIVALS and for practice inside Axolotls Modded Rivals unlocked lobbies. Rankings emphasize duel consistency, map flexibility, and skill floor—not raw novelty. When a modded place unlocks every wrap and gun, the same S-tier tools still win the most fair fights; unlocks only remove the Keys barrier.

Use the detailed pages for decisions that need tables and matchup notes: the Weapons Tier List and the Loadouts Guide. Pair both with codes if you are earning Keys on official servers, and with Getting Started if you are brand new to the FPS loop.

S-tier primaries at a glance

WeaponWhy it is S-tier
Assault RifleFree, controllable, wins most mid-range 1v1s
SniperHighest ceiling; angle holds and one-shot crits
PermafrostBurst pressure plus slow / freeze utility
ShotgunPoint-blank punishment and corridor control
Paintball GunTracking reward with disruptive paint utility

The Assault Rifle remains the default recommendation for nearly every rank. It asks for tracking discipline instead of perfect flicks, and it does not consume Keys. Sniper players who already land headshots should keep a strong secondary for rushes. Permafrost is the Contraband flex that turns duels into slowed trades—expensive or pass-gated on official, often free to equip in modded lobbies. Shotgun owns close maps and doorway peeks. Paintball Gun rewards aimers who can keep paint on target while moving.

Secondaries and melee

Secondaries: Exogun, Revolver, and Uzi lead the practical shortlist. Exogun is the forgiving damage tool that pressures through defensive melees; Revolver finishes retreating targets; Uzi is the budget close-range spray that pairs cleanly with Permafrost or Assault Rifle.

Melee: Katana and Scythe headline the slot. Katana offers fast swings and defensive tech against hitscan; Scythe doubles as a mobility / gap-close tool. Fist defaults are fine while you learn guns—upgrade melee after your primary and secondary feel stable.

How we rank

  1. Time-to-kill consistency across common duel ranges.
  2. Movement penalty and equip speed during swings and peeks.
  3. Utility (slow, paint, vortex, deflect) that creates second-chance wins.
  4. Key cost / availability on official RIVALS versus unlocked modded places.
  5. Skill floor so beginners are not funneled into trap weapons.

A gun can be flashy and still land in B-tier if it loses neutral fights to the Assault Rifle. Conversely, a free gun that holds every range belongs in S-tier even when creators hype limited Contraband skins.

Modded Rivals context

In Axolotls Modded Rivals, admin panels or unlocked inventories let you test S-tier combinations without farming Keys. That is perfect for muscle memory—swap between Sniper angle holds and Shotgun rushes in one session—but it will not teach economy discipline. When you return to official servers, redeem working codes and buy in the order suggested on the loadouts page.

Age-gated or frequently banned places change overnight; confirm the live join path in How to join and Updates before telling friends a place name from last week.

  1. Skim this hub for the S-tier shortlist.
  2. Open Weapons for per-gun notes.
  3. Build a kit from Loadouts (starter free, close-range, sniper hold, Permafrost flex).
  4. Practice inputs from Controls.
  5. Cosmetic goals → Unlock skins.

Patch awareness

Nosniy balance patches can nudge Sniper hitboxes, Permafrost slow durations, or Shotgun pellet math. We re-validate the S-tier band after major updates listed on the Updates Hub. If a patch nerfs your main, fall back to Assault Rifle before inventing a new identity overnight.

Community and creators

Watch high-level VODs linked from the Players Hub to see how top duelists actually clear angles with these guns. Do not confuse scripted highlight reels (see the Scripts Hub warnings) with legitimate tier placement.

Master the S-tier five primaries, pick one secondary from Exogun / Revolver / Uzi, and choose Katana or Scythe when you are ready. Everything else is situational spice for the weapons deep dive.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Axolotls Modded Rivals, codes, and loadouts.

What are the S-tier weapons in Axolotls Modded Rivals / RIVALS?

Primaries: Assault Rifle, Sniper, Permafrost, Shotgun, and Paintball Gun. Secondaries: Exogun, Revolver, and Uzi. Melee: Katana and Scythe.

Is the free Assault Rifle still meta?

Yes. It is the safest all-round primary for almost every rank and should stay equipped until you have a clear reason to swap.

Where can I see full rankings and loadouts?

Open the Weapons Tier List for per-gun tiers and the Loadouts guide for starter, close-range, sniper hold, and Permafrost flex builds.

Do tiers change in modded unlocked lobbies?

Unlocks remove Keys gates, but gunfight strength stays similar. Practice S-tier kits in modded places, then buy the same order on official servers.
